How's My Driving?
Do you have feedback or critique on how I play Saphira? This is the place to give it! Also if you could provide links to examples with any critique, that would be excellent, since it'll help me identify (and improve!) the issue.

Hi, you've reached Saphira and I'm not available at the moment. But if you leave a message I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can.

[There's a brief pause and then a frustrated sigh.]

Why do I care if someone can't get a hold of me? If it's that important they'd try again later. This makes no sense!

Canon Point: Towards the end of the second book, Eldest, shortly after Saphira and Glaedr heal Eragon's back during the Blood-Oath Celebration.

Canon Character Information
Appearance: It seems as though those who have brought Saphira to the island have a wicked and cruel sense of humor. Taking someone who use to be a large dragon (bigger than a house) and making them into a small human must have made them laugh. As a human, Saphira stands a full 5’3” and weighs about 108lbs. She’s slender, has wavy blonde hair which reaches just to the middle of her back. She has large bright blue eyes, brighter blue than is normal - the only aspect of her dragon self that has been left to her. As much as she would prefer running around naked, she has adopted the style of clothing she’s use to human and elven women wearing in her world. Long medieval style dresses which are modest yet accentuates the figure. (Amanda Seyfried as Saphira’s pb)
Setting: Inheritance Cycle on Wikipedia.
History: Saphira on the Inheritance Wikia
Personality: Because Saphira chose Eragon and hatched for him, her bond with him is the most important aspect of her. The connection between a rider and dragon is a deep one, deeper than any bond between two living creatures, often times enabling the two to become the conscience for the other. Because of their bond, Saphira almost always supports what Eragon chooses to do and the few times she doesn’t, she isn’t afraid to let him know exactly what she thinks of his choices but will regardless do as he wants. She’s grown quite comfortable with their bond and over time it has grown enough to where the two are able to finish each other’s thoughts and it extends over great distances. When she’s forced to cope without the bond, she is at first lonely, but knows her human will be safe and turns instead to help the Varden by offering council to their leader. She will do anything to keep her ‘little one’ safe, even saying that should Eragon be captured that she would give herself up to Galbatorix, dooming their country Alagaesia, in order to save him.

She is extremely intelligent and is quick to learn her natural abilities and also help Eragon learn his. She helps her human master the spells Brom teaches him and encourages him to continue working to master his magic when Brom is no longer with them. She is able to give council and Nasada the leader of the Varden often consults with both Saphira and Eragon before making big decisions. While she is wise, Saphira can at times appear to be hypocritical, like when trying to convince Eragon not to fall for the elven princess Arya due to their age differences, while she herself tried to woo the considerably older dragon, Glaedr.

Saphira knows that she is one of the last dragons in Alagaesia, and is the only female dragon. Because of this knowledge, she is very proud and at times comes off snobby. She knows that she, along with Eragon, are perhaps Alagaesia’s last hope for freedom and also that it is up to her to continue to dragon race. It is at times a bit overwhelming for her, knowing that if she dies, her race perishes as well. She tries to ignore it, but she has a feeling of desperation which seems to continuously gnaw at her, making her think she will either have to remain alone of the rest of eternity or do the unthinkable and associate with the enemy to ensure her race doesn’t die out. It doesn’t help that Eragon seems to attract the attention of young females and she can’t help but feel jealous that Eragon has a wider range of prospective mates to pick from.

She feels that she is the most beautiful creature in the world and has stated this fact to her human rider several times. She feels that she is above normal creatures and while she might respect them, it takes a lot for her to humble herself to anyone. She has only ever bowed to a couple of others - the elven queen Islanzadí and when she was drunk she bowed to several dwarves. It took a lot for her to lower her lofty thoughts of herself in order to call both Oromis and his dragon Glaedr, master, though she knew that she along with Eragon needed all the training and help they could get and so she humbled herself, doing what was needed to ensure their continued learning. Her pride is a big part of her as well and it takes a lot to put a dent in it. Glaedr was able to when she tried wooing him and inadvertently upset him, causing the two to fight. Saphira took this as a rejection and thought that he did not find her attractive enough. She was surly and pouty about it until Eragon was able to talk some sense into her, and she ended up having to swallow her pride and apologize to the older dragon so they would be able to continue on with their lessons.

Saphira detests Alagaesia’s ruler Galbatorix and hates those who serve him. It is because of him that her race is so close to extinction. She regards all those associated with Galbatorix to be murders and betrayers and would gladly kill them all. She is a powerful fighter and does all she can to help the cause that Eragon supports - which is to cause the downfall of Galbatorix’s reign. She has no problem using her jaws to snap at, or even tear enemies in half, nor does she have a problem using her fire breathing to roast them where they stand. It angers Saphira greatly that one who had at one time been bonded to a dragon almost completely caused the destruction of her race solely because he went crazy after his own dragon had been killed. She truly does not understand how someone could do something so completely evil.

She has a playful side which normally is only shown around Eragon. She loves racing through the skies, tumbling and performing amazing aeronautical dives. She is also fond of swimming and though she preferred flying, didn’t seem to mind swimming along side Eragon’s boat as it made its way down rivers. There were a few times she would let loose around others and just enjoy herself, like the couple of times she got completely drunk with Eragon and a group of dwarves - destroying several tables and emptying a good part of the dwarves ale reserve, She of course regretted it the next day, but it didn’t stop her from doing it again when she was invited to drink with them again.
Powers/Abilities/Talents: not available because while dragons can do magic, it's not something they can control and they don't really go into all she can do in the series so I would rather just leave it out.
AU/CR AU Addendum: n/a
What four items from home would you like your character to have on the island for the duration of their stay? A copy of the poem Eragon wrote for the Blood Oath Celebration. A small sapphire blue dagger.

Samples:
First Person: [As the feed starts, it shows a lopsided view of the area right outside the docks. A muffled very angry sounding voice can be heard from off to the right - seemingly arguing with a native that can be seen on the opposite side.]

NO! You are wrong! This is... This is just not possible! Galbatorix is behind this not... [She almost growls in frustration.] Where is Eragon?! Answer me, human!

[The maid rolls her eyes and soon disappears from view and not long after the sound of a door slamming can be heard.

There’s a loud dramatic sigh, a rustling of fabric and then suddenly a yelp is heard before a blonde woman half stumbles, half trips into view. She is obviously NOT happy (and seems to be having trouble walking) and flops down on the ground with a pout and a huff.]

No feel of magic? Human?! [She lifts her hands up, examining them, and then she lifts one of her feet and pulls it close so she can examine her toes.] What is this madness? This should not be possible.

[She wiggles her toes and her forehead creases in confusion. She's obviously distracted herself from her ranting.] What is the purpose of all these... What was it Eragon called them? [She wiggles them again.] Toes! What is the purpose of having so many of them?

Third Person: Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion and her eyes snapped open and she moved to lift and swing her head around in order to better figure out what was going on. Yet, she found her range of movement was greatly hindered and... She truly did not recognize where she was at. She was on a docked boat. Since when was there a boat big enough to carry her???

'Eragon?' she called out with her mind, instinctively reaching out for her small one. Nothing. Her eyes widened and she felt her heart constrict in her chest. 'ERAGON!' She tried several more times and yet was met with nothing once again. There was no hint of his presence. She couldn't feel him at all! He had to be in some sort of trouble... again!

Panicked, she reared back, and with a loud yelp fell right off the ledge of the bench she'd been on, landing in a most undistinguished pile on the floor. She looked down, and seeing HANDS - HUMAN HANDS - let out a loud horrified scream. This was not possible! She had to be dreaming!

Her now human hands quickly did an inventory of herself, and by the time she was done, she was sobbing almost hysterically. Her scales! Her beautiful blue scales and glorious wings- all gone! Replaced with frail human skin, and human hair. There was so much of that and it kept falling into her eyes. Her claws had been replaced by human hands and feet. This had to be some sort of dark magic! There was no way this was natural.

Shuddering, she lifted a hand to push her tangle of hair out of her eyes. She had no idea what what was going on, or who had cast such a spell on her but they would be sorry! She was Saphira, one of the last dragons in existence!

She was angry now, her eyes narrowed as she tried to push herself to her feet, though her new human legs were weak and she would have fallen again had it not been for a human moving to quickly help her off of the boat. She glared at them and jerked away once her feet hit land and stumbled, almost falling again.

This was not good. She had awoken to find herself in an evil place. She would find her way out of it, find her small one and then she would find a way to break the magic which had turned her into something so weak.
Finally, pick one word from these four options: sun.
